SHOUT & CO. Production Assistant
The Role:
The Production Assistant is responsible for keeping the studio and office team on schedule and to deadline, ensuring we are prepared for upcoming photoshoots, being on hand to assist during photoshoots and aiding in the creation of content (written or visual).

Shout & Co. was established in 2017 - we do Digital Marketing and Content Creation, including photography, videography and social media management. We are a hard-working and dedicated team (which includes Millie the English Bulldog, Duchess the Ragdoll Cat and 2 young kids and part time models) - and we’re growing quickly!
Skills & Experience:
This permanent, part-time role is primarily studio-office based at our HQ on the North Shore in Auckland / sometimes on-location / sometimes remote-based job, entailing the following tasks:
General office admin and day-to-day running of our photography studio
Managing admin related to our international offices
Sourcing ingredients for shoots
Coordinating and scheduling shoots
Striking the set after a photoshoot has been completed
Steaming garments/soft-furnishings and props when needed
Receiving client samples, prepping them for photoshoots, and sending samples back to clients at the end of a shoot
Prepping for and assisting at shoots
Dropping off and picking up of client samples and props
Keeping the prop cupboard and studio clean, neat and orderly - and ‘shoot-ready’
Preparing content plans for the month ahead (which you’ll send to our copywriter to complete) and packaging completed content to send to clients
Working closely with our content creator to develop monthly content on time and to deadline
Publishing content when needed
Other general admin tasks when required
Successful candidates will have the following skills:
ESSENTIAL: Is a self-starter and doesn’t need to be micromanaged to stay on task
Pleasant phone and email manner
Good spelling and grammar
Organised, neat and systematic
Readiness to learn
Honest, reliable and dependable
Comfortable around kids, dogs and cats
Experience working with Google Drive, Dropbox, Excel and Canva
Own car is essential
Skills advantageous but not essential:
Some photography experience: could be personal or commercial
Some design experience
Some styling experience
Experience writing copy and / or content
Hours & Remuneration:
This is a part-time (school hours) permanent position: between 18 and 30 hours (negotiable)
The recruitment process for shortlisted candidates will include a paid 1 day internship at our studio to get a feel for the work, team and environment
Salary: Between $19 - $25 per hour, depending on experience
Candidate must have the necessary visas / legal right to live and work in New Zealand and have a valid drivers licence.
