Four Square Case Study

100 Years Celebration

THE BRIEF.

Shout + Co was tasked with creating a raft of design elements for Four Square Island North, commemorating its 100-year anniversary which took place at Auckland’s Hilton Hotel on the 4th and 5th of July, 2024. We were challenged to convey to operators, owners, and team members what truly defines this iconic brand. The result was a series of branding videos and wall installations which took over four months of strategising, planning, designing, printing and installation.

THE INPUTS.

4 members of the Shout + Co. team formed a Four Square task force of sorts, which included Bevan as client liaison and producer, Pippa as creative director, Issac as videographer and photographer and Emma as graphic designer. With a four month lead time, the team rallied to create the event collateral from scratch, trawling through historical records and archive footage to identify key topics and themes, strategising and designing each installation and supplementing with photography and video. Two members of the team also travelled across the north island to interview and film store operators as a showcase during the two day conference.

THE OUTPUTS.

Over 30 pieces of wall installations, brand videos and store photography were created by the Shout + Co. team, as well as coordinating the printing, installation and broadcasting thereof. The team was also on hand during the black tie event on the 4th of July to photograph and video the proceedings.
