SHOUT & CO. Content Writer
The Role:
The Content Writer’s role is to create all written content for Shout & Co. clients as well as the Shout & Co. brand. You will work in conjunction with our photo and video team to develop engaging content across various digital channels, including social media, websites, blogs, product pages and ads.
The Company:
Shout & Co. was established in 2017 and has grown swiftly into a 5-person team. We do Digital Marketing and Content Creation including photography, videography and social media management. We are a hard-working and dedicated team (which includes Millie the English Bulldog, Duchess the Ragdoll Cat and 3 young kids and part time models) - and we’re growing quickly! Skills & Experience:
This permanent, part time role is office-based at our HQ in Birkenhead, Auckland and entails the following tasks:
Copy editing and proofing
Copywriting social media captions
Producing copy for websites, blog posts, eBooks, product descriptions and ads
Writing and compiling EDMs for Shout & Co. clients
Working with Shout & Co. content creators (photo and video) to develop content for our clients
Successful candidates will have the following skills:
Be able to write copy in various tones of voice to suit each client and able to convey an idea in just a few short words
Have experience with social media and digital marketing copywriting and / or production
Be comfortable conducting research to generate accurate and relevant content
Have experience writing sales copy
Have great phone and email etiquette
Be organised, systematic and neat approach to tasks
Be reliable and have a dependable work ethic
Be a self-starter with a readiness to learn
Have experience working with Google Drive, Dropbox, Excel and Canva
Have a basic appreciation of design: how design and copy intersect and relate
Have their own car
Skills advantageous but not essential:
Product or lifestyle photography
Mac user
Experience with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Hubspot
Hours & Remuneration:
Permanent
Part-time (school hours): negotiable, between 18 and 30 hours per week with the opportunity to extend these hours as the role grows
To work on-site at our studio
$20 - $25 per hour depending on experience
Selection process:
Applications close 22nd Feb 2022 and shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 1 March. Interviews to take place during the first 2 weeks of March
To start as soon as possible by or before beginning April
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview at the Shout & Co. studio in Birkenhead and will be given a paid content writing piece as part of the interview process
Candidate must have the necessary visas / legal right to live and work in New Zealand and have a valid drivers licence.
